Praharsha Rocked Gainesville!!

September 1, 2010

It was a great weekend in Gainesville, Florida. Asha UFlorida/ Gators for Asha organized their 5th Annual cultural festival, Praharsha-festival of Hope and Happiness, on Aug 28th and the show rocked Gainesville!! Kudos to efforts of all the dedicated volunteers and performers for making the show such a success. I had the opportunity to attend all the 5 Praharshas and I can tell how the show has grown in terms of quality, variety and coordination. I remember when we organized the first Praharsha, we had tough time finding performers, sponsors and we were worried about the number of audience we will get. About 250 people attended the first Praharsha and going from 250 to 700 people in 5 years is a great jump. Keep up the good work guys. I am sure success of Praharsha will also result in recruiting more dedicated volunteers and Asha Uflorida chapter can continue the tradition of supporting more and more innovative and unique projects for improving quality of education of children in India. Watching the show and seeing all the new faces working with such enthusiasm, made me feel nostalgic as well made me feel proud. Keep it up!!
